Guidance & Hidayah
Hasan HadithSunan At-Tirmidhi 2140

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ وَزِدْنِي إِيمَانًا

O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion and increase me in faith.

Ya muqalliba l-qulubi, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik, wa zidni imana.

When to Read

This dua is particularly potent when you feel your heart wavering, when the distractions of dunya seem overwhelming, or when you simply wish to deepen your connection with Allah. Recite it after your obligatory prayers, during the quiet hours of the night, or anytime you seek to reaffirm your commitment to faith and draw closer to divine love.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and heartfelt conviction, visualizing your heart being anchored firmly in Allah's Deen. Understand that 'Deen' encompasses not just ritual worship, but your entire way of life as a Muslim. Feel the plea in your heart as you ask Allah to not only stabilize your faith but to actively grow it, making your heart a fertile ground for His love.

Virtues & Benefits

Cultivating a heart open to Allah's love is the essence of true worship. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this specific dua because the heart is the most precious part of us, and its orientation determines our ultimate destination. A heart firm on Allah's religion is shielded from doubt and misguidance. Increasing in faith means a stronger connection, a deeper understanding, and an increased ability to perceive Allah's presence and blessings in all aspects of life. This leads to a sense of peace, contentment, and an unwavering reliance on Him (Tawakkul).

Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to frequently supplicate: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.' I asked him, 'O Messenger of Allah, we believed in you and what you brought. Do you fear for us?' He replied, 'Yes, for the hearts are between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful, He turns them however He wills.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2140, Sahih Muslim 2672)
