Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk.
When to Read
This dua is specifically recommended by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to be recited at the end of gatherings, including religious study circles, assemblies, and even discussions. It acts as a spiritual 'cleaning' for any shortcomings or unintentional wrongdoings that may have occurred during the meeting.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity after the study circle has concluded. It is generally recited once, and ideally, it should be spoken aloud by the group or the person leading the circle. The focus should be on acknowledging Allah's perfection and seeking His forgiveness for any lapses in speech or conduct during the gathering.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated that whoever recites this dua at the end of a gathering, it will serve as expiation for whatever might have happened (in terms of shortcomings or mistakes) in that gathering. This highlights the immense mercy of Allah, who provides a way to purify our actions and interactions, even at their conclusion.

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever sits in a gathering and there is a great deal of disorder and confusion in it, and then he recites this supplication before getting up, he will be forgiven for (the disorder) which took place in that gathering: Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk.'
