In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the evil of this matter, and from the evil of what is in it. O Allah, make it good for us and good for the Muslims. O Allah, make it easy for us, complete it for us, help us with it, and bless us in it.
Bismillahi-r-Rahmani-r-Rahim. Allahumma inna na'udhu bika min sharri hadha al-amr, wa min sharri ma fihi. Allahumma-j'alhu khayran lana wa khayran lil-muslimin. Allahumma yassirhu wa atimmhu 'alayna, wa a'inna 'alayhi, wa barik lana fihi.

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to teach them this supplication when they set out for a mission: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'ala Allahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.' (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.) And when they entered upon an affair, he would teach them: 'Allahumma inna na'udhu bika min sharriha wa min sharri ma fiha.' (O Allah, we seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what is in it.)
