O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, and the goodness of its inhabitants, and the goodness of all that You have decreed for it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its inhabitants, and the evil of all that You have decreed for it.
Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ahliha wa khayra ma jabalta 'alayhi, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha wa sharri ma jabalta 'alayhi.

It's a comprehensive supplication for seeking Allah's blessings and protection over the endeavor and the people involved, ensuring you approach the situation with the best intentions and reliance on Him.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and full presence, ideally before the meeting begins. Visualize seeking Allah's help and guidance for a positive and fruitful outcome. It can be recited individually before you enter the meeting room or even collectively if the partners are aligned in seeking Allah's blessings.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates seeking the best of both the tangible (the business itself and its associated dealings) and the intangible (the people involved and the overall atmosphere). By seeking refuge from evil, you are acknowledging Allah's ultimate power and your need for His protection against any potential harm or negative outcomes. It fosters a mindset of dependence on Allah (tawakkul) for success and protection, which is a cornerstone of Islamic practice.

When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would travel and encamp in a valley, he would say: 'I seek refuge in Allah, the Knower of the Unseen, from the evil of this place, and from the evil of its inhabitants.' (Sahih Muslim 110). Another narration from Sunan Abi Dawud (4920) mentions a similar dua for entering a new place or undertaking: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ أَهْلِهَا وَشَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ *Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ahliha wa khayra ma jabalta 'alayhi, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha wa sharri ma jabalta 'alayhi.* O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, and the goodness of its inhabitants, and the goodness of all that You have decreed for it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its inhabitants, and the evil of all that You have decreed for it. While the specific hadith here refers to entering a new place, its meaning is applicable to entering any new undertaking or meeting, especially one involving a commitment like a business partnership. The principle of seeking the good and seeking refuge from the evil extends to all aspects of our lives where we seek Allah's guidance and protection.
