O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this market and the goodness of what is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this market and the evil of what is in it. O Allah, I ask You for pure sustenance and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka khaira hadha as-souqi wa khaira ma feehi, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadha as-souqi wa sharri ma feehi. Allahumma inni as'aluka rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "He who says, when he enters the market: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, yuhyi wa yumeetu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer' (There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, He gives life and He causes death, and He is Powerful over all things), Allah will write for him a million good deeds, and will wipe from him a million bad deeds, and will raise him a million levels, and will build for him a house in Paradise." (Sahih Muslim 1573). Another narration attributed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Sunan At-Tirmidhi (2968 - Hasan) states: "Whoever enters a market and says: 'Bismillah, Allahumma inni as'aluka min khairi hadha as-souqi wa khairi ma feehi, wa a'udhu bika min sharri hadha as-souqi wa sharri ma feehi, Allahumma inni as'aluka rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan' (In the name of Allah. O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this market and the goodness of what is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this market and the evil of what is in it. O Allah, I ask You for pure sustenance and accepted deeds), Allah will record for him, for the amount of that market visit, the like of the reward of a martyr."
