Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka.
When to Read
This dua is recited at the very end of any gathering, be it a formal meeting, a casual get-together with friends, a lesson, or even a family meal. It's the final supplication said as people are dispersing.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a mindful heart after finishing your conversation or activity in a gathering. It's meant to be said as a concluding supplication before you leave or as the group breaks up.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this dua to expiate (make up for) any shortcomings or inappropriate speech that may have occurred during the gathering. It's a beautiful way to ensure that our assemblies end on a note of remembrance of Allah and spiritual purification, seeking His forgiveness for any inadvertent wrongdoings like idle talk, backbiting, or harsh words. It perfectly seals the gathering with Allah's mercy and acceptance.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever sits in a gathering and experiences in it what he feels regretful about, and then says before he gets up from his sitting place: 'Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka', then that which he experienced in that sitting place will be expiation for him."
