أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

When to Read

This powerful supplication is especially potent for Muslims on Friday, the Day of Jumuah. The day itself is blessed, and our efforts to seek refuge in Allah are amplified. Recite it in the morning after Fajr prayer and again before Maghrib prayer on Friday to fortify yourself against Shaitan's persistent whispers and temptations, which often intensify when we are seeking to draw closer to Allah.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and a firm belief in Allah's power to protect you. It's best recited three times, especially in the morning and evening. As you say it, visualize Allah's perfect words shielding you from all harm and evil, including the insidious whispers of Shaitan that try to sow doubt, fear, or discouragement. You can raise your hands slightly while reciting, though it's not a strict condition.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a shield against all creation's evil, which inherently includes the evil of Shaitan. By seeking refuge in Allah's 'perfect words' – referring to His commands and His creation – we are invoking His ultimate protection. Reciting it on Friday, a day of immense blessings and a time when our prayers are said to be more readily accepted, strengthens our spiritual defense. It helps to purify our hearts and minds from intrusive thoughts and temptations that Shaitan tries to plant, especially during times of devotion.
