Virtues & Benefits

This supplication, made by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for his Ummah, directly asks for Allah's 'barakah' (blessings, increase, and goodness) in the early hours. The 'bukoor' (early morning) is a time when efforts are often most productive. By reciting this, we are seeking Allah's divine intervention to make our work fruitful, our earnings lawful and sufficient, and our time well-spent, especially on the blessed day of Jumu'ah.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Sa'd, he said: The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Allah, bless my Ummah in its early morning rush.' And he was a trader, and when he sent out his goods for sale, he sent them out at the beginning of the day. And Sa'd himself was a trader, and he sent out his merchandise at the beginning of the day, and by reason of that he became rich and his wealth increased. (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2265)
