اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ خَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ مُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِتْنَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ، وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ، وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to test a people, then take me [to Yourself] without subjecting me to that test. And I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to supplicate: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka al-huda wat-tuqa wal-'afafa wal-ghina. [O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment].' And he used to supplicate: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'la al-khayrat, wa tark al-munkarat, wa hubba al-masakin, wa an taghfir li wa tarhamani, wa idha aradta fitnata qawmin fa tawaffani ghaira maftun.
