اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and safeguard me from anxieties. O Allah, protect me from my front and my back, from my right and my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your might lest I be consumed from beneath me.
Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afwa wal 'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afwa wal 'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi wa 'an yami ni wa 'an shimali wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi 'adhamatika an ughtala min tahti.
When to Read
This is a comprehensive dua that can be recited any time, but it's particularly powerful to make it a habit during the times when duas are more likely to be answered, such as after obligatory prayers, during the last third of the night, between the Adhan and Iqamah, and on Fridays. Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: A man said, "O Allah's Messenger! Which supplication is the best?" He said, "Supplication of 'Afiyah (well-being) in this world and the Hereafter." Then he said, "Supplication of 'Afiyah (well-being) in this world and the Hereafter is the best supplication. The best of supplication is 'Afiyah. Supplicate for 'Afiyah in this world and the Hereafter." Al-'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Allah's Messenger, teach me something to ask Allah." He said: "O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and safeguard me from anxieties. O Allah, protect me from my front and my back, and from my right and my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your might lest I be consumed from beneath me." Al-'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "And I ask Him for pardon."
