When to Read

Recite this dua just before you enter the vehicle for your driving test, or at any point you feel overwhelmed or anxious about the exam itself. It's a powerful way to channel your reliance onto Allah (SWT) when facing a challenge.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Visualize Allah (SWT) protecting you from any harm or difficulty related to the test. It's best recited before the actual test begins, allowing you to enter the situation with a sense of peace and divine support.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a profound expression of Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). By reciting it, you acknowledge that ultimate control and protection come from Him, not from your own abilities alone. It helps to calm nerves, reduce anxiety, and invoke Allah's (SWT) assistance in overcoming obstacles, which is crucial when facing a performance-based assessment like a driving test.

Source & Authentication

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge in Allah from the evil of what the creation has created. He would say: 'O Allah, we place You before them and we seek refuge in You from their evil.' This hadith is about seeking refuge from any potential harm or evil from people or situations. In the context of a driving test, it can be interpreted as seeking refuge from any untoward incident or the potential for failure due to external factors or one's own anxieties.
