بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ.
In the name of Allah. I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from the evil of all that He has created, and from the evil of the darkening night as it falls, and from the evil of those who practice witchcraft, and from the evil of the envious when they envy.
Bismillahi, a'udhu bi-rabbil-falaqi min sharri ma khalaqa wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqaba wa min sharri-n-naffathati fil-'uqadi wa min sharri hasidin idha hasada.
When to Read
This supplication is part of the evening remembrance (Adhkar). It's highly recommended to recite Surah Al-Falaq (along with Surah An-Nas and Surah Al-Ikhlas) after the Maghrib prayer and before sleeping. How to Read
Recite these verses sincerely, focusing on the meaning and the trust you are placing in Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often cup his hands, recite these three Surahs (Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas), blow into them, and then wipe his hands over as much of his body as he could reach, starting with his head and face. Repeating this three times is also a sunnah.

‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Do you not know that last night, verses were revealed, the like of which have never been seen? They are the Surah: ‘Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn’ (Surah Al-Falaq) and ‘Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind’ (Surah An-Nas).” He said: “No one has sought refuge with the like of these two.”
