اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عَفْوَكَ وَعَافِيَتَكَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي.
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for Your pardon and Your well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from my front and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness lest I be consumed from beneath me.
Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'aluka 'afwaka wa 'afiyataka fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yameeni wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi 'adhmadika an ughtala min tahti.
When to Read
This powerful supplication is highly recommended to be recited in the evening as part of our remembrance of Allah (Adhkar). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him): 'O Abbas, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah! Ask Allah for 'Afiyah in this world and the Hereafter.' Al-'Abbas said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how should I ask Allah for 'Afiyah?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, I ask You for pardon and 'Afiyah in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from my front and from behind me, and from my right and from my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your Greatness lest I be consumed from beneath me.' And he said: 'Say this dua in the morning and the evening, and it is incumbent upon Allah to grant you well-being.'
