Recite this dua with sincerity and full conviction in your heart. Face the Qiblah if possible, and raise your hands slightly as a sign of seeking from Allah. Focus on the meaning of the words: seeking knowledge that benefits, sustenance that is pure and lawful, and work that is accepted by your Creator. It is recommended to repeat it three times, as was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ.
Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua encompasses three crucial elements for a Muslim's life: beneficial knowledge that guides you, pure sustenance that nourishes you lawfully, and accepted deeds that bring you closer to Allah. By asking for accepted deeds, you are seeking Allah's grace for your prayers, your dhikr, your interactions, and all acts of worship and obedience. It's a proactive way to ensure your efforts are not in vain and are a source of reward in this life and the hereafter.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet ﷺ, when he said the morning prayer, would not say it except he turned his attention to us and said: 'O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is beneficial, provision that is good and pure, and deeds that are accepted.' And when he said the evening prayer, he would say the same.
