In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth nor in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem.

Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to his companions as a means of protection. He ﷺ stated that whoever recites it three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening, and whoever recites it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the morning. While the primary benefit is general protection, the 'evils of the tongue' are a significant source of harm and societal discord, and this dua encompasses protection against such afflictions through Allah's will.

Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says 'Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem' three times in the morning, he will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening, he will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the morning. It was decreed that Uthman would be afflicted by a calamity, and so he began to seek refuge in Allah from it."
