بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā'i wa huwas-samī'ul-'alīm.

Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed us that whoever recites this dua three times in the morning or evening will not be afflicted by sudden calamity. This protection extends throughout the day or night until it passes. It’s a profound statement of reliance on Allah (Tawakkul), safeguarding us from unseen evils and misfortunes. This practice aligns with the general principle of seeking refuge in Allah, as He states in the Quran: "And say, 'My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the suggestions of the devils, And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.'" (Al-Mu'minun 23:97-98).

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "He who says: 'In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing' three times, will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until morning comes, and whoever says it in the morning will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until night comes." — Sunan Abi Dawud 5087.
