I seek refuge in Allah the Almighty, by His Noble Face, and by His Eternal Authority, from the accursed Satan. (In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.)
A'udhu billahil-'Adheem, wa biwajhihil-kareem, wa bisultanihil-qadeem, minash-Shaytanir-rajeem. (Bismillah was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik.)

The final supplication is a direct request for Allah's mercy, setting the tone for your entire visit.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua is a Sunnah practice that brings immense blessings. It protects you from the whispers of Shaytan, ensuring your focus remains on worship and remembrance of Allah. Invoking Allah's mercy upon entering His house opens the doors to spiritual rewards and a deeper connection with the Divine. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to remind us that even entering a mosque is an act of worship that requires intention and proper etiquette.
Source & Authentication
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Busr Al-Mazini that when the Prophet ﷺ used to enter the mosque, he would say: 'A'udhu billahil-'Adheem wa biwajhihil-kareem wa bisultanihil-qadeem minash-Shaytanir-rajeem.' (I seek refuge in Allah the Almighty, by His Noble Face, and by His Eternal Authority, from the accursed Satan.) Then he would say: 'Bismillah was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik.' (In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.) And when he went out, he would say the like of that.
