When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) entered the mosque, he would say: 'A'udhu billahil-'Adheem, wa biwajhihil-Kareem, wa bisultanihil-Qadeem minash-Shaytanir-Rajim.' (I seek refuge in Allah the Almighty, and by His Noble Face, and by His Eternal Authority from the accursed Shaytan). Then he would say: 'Bismillah, was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma aftah li abwaba rahmatik.' (In the name of Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.)
