Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this dua to seek Allah's mercy upon entering the mosque. When we enter a place of worship, we are entering a space specifically dedicated to seeking Allah's pleasure and forgiveness. By asking for His mercy, we are positioning ourselves to receive the immense blessings He has prepared for those who turn to Him. While this dua directly pertains to entering the mosque, the principle of seeking Allah's mercy is a cornerstone of our faith. It is through His mercy that we hope for the acceptance of our prayers, including those we make for our parents. Allah's mercy encompasses everything, and by seeking it, we open ourselves to His countless favors, both in this life and the hereafter. This seeking of mercy can inspire us to extend that same compassionate intention to our parents, asking Allah to shower them with His grace and forgiveness.
