Entering the Masjid with this supplication invites Allah's vast mercy into our experience within His house. This mercy is what allows the Quran, Allah's literal word, to penetrate our hearts and bring about healing. The Quran itself is described as a cure and a mercy: 'And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers' (Al-Isra 17:82).
