Translation: Narrated Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi: They said, 'O Allah's Messenger! How should we invoke blessings on you?' He said, 'Say: O Allah! Send Your blessings on Muhammad and on his wives and offspring, just as You have sent Your blessings on the family of Abraham, and send Your blessings on Muhammad and on his wives and offspring, just as You have sent Your blessings on the family of Abraham, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. And teach them to say: Allahumma iftah li abwaba rahmatik (O Allah! Open for me the doors of Your mercy).' — Sahih Muslim 714
