بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils (or from evil and wicked things).
Bismillah, Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith.
When to Read
This dua should be recited just before entering the bathroom or toilet area. It's a conscious act of seeking Allah's protection before stepping into a place where impurities reside and where jinn are known to frequent.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely before you physically enter the bathroom. Some scholars mention saying 'Bismillah' first, then the rest of the dua. It's an invocation, so say it with mindfulness and a clear intention of seeking Allah's shield.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this dua to protect ourselves from evil, impurities, and the jinn who inhabit such places. Bathrooms are considered areas where one is more vulnerable, and this supplication serves as a spiritual shield, keeping negative energies and harm at bay. It's a beautiful reminder that even in the most mundane and private moments, we are connected to Allah and seeking His constant care.
