بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil jinn, both male and female.

Bismillah, Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith.

When to Read

This dua should be recited just before entering the bathroom (toilet/restroom). It's a Sunnah practice to seek protection from unseen evils before entering a place often associated with impurities and the dwelling of jinn.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity, focusing on the meaning of seeking Allah's protection. It is typically recited before stepping in with the left foot, which is also a Sunnah when entering places of impurity.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication is a means of seeking Allah's protection from the Shayatin (devils/jinn) who are known to frequent places of impurity. By reciting it, we acknowledge Allah's power over all unseen matters and ask for His safeguarding, turning what could be a spiritually vulnerable moment into one of remembrance and protection.
