بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils (or evil spirits).
Bismillah. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith.
When to Read
This supplication should be recited just before entering the bathroom or toilet area. It's a moment of transition into a place where impurities are present and where, traditionally, evil spirits are thought to reside. Saying this dua acts as a spiritual shield.
How to Read
Recite this dua softly just as you are about to step into the bathroom. It's recommended to do this before your feet cross the threshold. The intention is to consciously seek Allah's protection as you enter a place that is less pure than the rest of your home.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a powerful invocation for protection. The word 'khubuth' refers to male devils and 'khaba'ith' refers to female devils. By seeking refuge in Allah, we are asking Him to shield us from any harm, mischief, or evil influences that might be present in such a place. It's a practical application of trusting Allah for safety in all circumstances, even those we might overlook.
