When to Read

This dua should be recited just before entering the bathroom (toilet) for any purpose, including for comfort and relief.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and awareness before stepping into the bathroom. It's the Sunnah practice of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to seek Allah's protection before entering such places, which are often associated with impurity and the dwelling of evil spirits.

Virtues & Benefits

Seeking refuge in Allah before entering the bathroom offers protection from evil jinn and harmful influences that may reside in such places. It's a simple yet profound act of remembrance of Allah, acknowledging His dominion over all things, seen and unseen, and seeking His safeguard. This practice also helps us maintain a sense of purity and respect, even in places of bodily relief.
