اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I need not ask from anyone other than You.
Allahumma akfini bi halalika 'an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika 'amman siwak.

Recite this dua with sincerity and focus, embodying its meaning in your heart. Direct your supplication to Allah alone, recognizing that true sufficiency and independence come only from Him. Utter the words clearly and with a sense of earnest need.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates a comprehensive request for well-being. By asking Allah to suffice us with lawful earnings, we seek protection from unlawful means and the sin associated with them. Asking for enrichment through His grace means we are not dependent on any created being, fostering contentment and trust in Allah alone. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) himself taught this dua, highlighting its immense value and the wisdom behind its comprehensive request for both spiritual and material sufficiency.
Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught him a prayer to say in his Witr prayer: 'Allahumma ihdini fiman hadayt...' and he also taught him a supplication for debt: 'Allahumma akfini bi halalika 'an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika 'amman siwak.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3563). This narration indicates the Prophet's (ﷺ) emphasis on this particular dua for seeking Allah's provision and independence.
