O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of Hell, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi Jahannam, wa min 'adhabi al-qabri, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.

This powerful supplication is recommended to be recited just before finishing the prayer, specifically after the Tashahhud and before reciting the final Salam. It’s a moment of intense focus and humility, a last chance to implore Allah for protection before concluding your worship.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and full concentration. Imagine seeking refuge directly from Allah Almighty. Raise your hands slightly, if possible, as a sign of earnest supplication. Ensure you pronounce the Arabic words clearly and correctly. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would teach this dua to his Companions, just as he taught them the Tashahhud.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates seeking protection from four grave dangers: 1. **The Punishment of Hellfire (Jahannam):** The ultimate abode of the disbelievers and the disobedient. 2. **The Punishment of the Grave:** A terrifying period of questioning and potential torment before the Day of Judgment. 3. **The Trials of Life and Death:** Protection from the tribulations and temptations that we face during our earthly lives, and the agony and fear associated with death itself. 4. **The Evil of the Dajjal:** Seeking refuge from the greatest trial mankind will ever face, the deception and tyranny of the False Messiah. By reciting this, you are proactively seeking Allah's divine shield against these immense trials.
