During Prayer
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 6306

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabil qabr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatid dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil mahya wal mamat. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabil qabr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatid dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil mahya wal mamat.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a powerful supplication taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for seeking Allah's protection. It encompasses seeking refuge from: 1. **Punishment of the Grave ('Adhab al-Qabr):** A reality that awaits everyone, and seeking Allah's mercy here is vital. 2. **Trial of the Dajjal (Fitnat ad-Dajjal):** The greatest trial that will occur before the Day of Judgment. 3. **Trials of Life and Death (Fitnat al-Mahya wal Mamat):** The tests and tribulations we face during our lives and the moments of our passing. By reciting this, we are actively turning to Allah for His ultimate protection during these critical stages.
