O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No person is afflicted with grief or distress and says: 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed. Your judgment upon me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or taught to any one of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries,' except that Allah will remove his grief and replace his worries with relief." The Companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah, shouldn't we learn these words?" He replied: "Yes, it is incumbent upon everyone who hears them to learn them." (Reported by Ahmad. Al-Albani graded it Hasan).
