Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijali.

Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seeks refuge from several debilitating issues. By seeking refuge from anxiety and sorrow, we ask Allah to grant us peace of mind. Protection from helplessness and laziness helps us to take the necessary actions with energy and determination. Shielding ourselves from cowardice and stinginess ensures we face challenges bravely and are generous. Most importantly for this context, seeking refuge from the 'burden of debt and the overpowering of men' is a direct plea for financial liberation and protection from being controlled or exploited by others due to financial difficulties.
