اللَّهُمَّ اقْضِ عَنِّي دَيْنِي وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْ غِنَى عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

When to Read
This dua is especially powerful when recited with sincerity and conviction, particularly after the obligatory prayers. It can be recited anytime one feels the burden of debt, seeking Allah's immediate relief and long-term financial independence.
How to Read
Recite this dua with a sincere heart, focusing on the meaning of the words and truly believing in Allah's ability to relieve you of your burdens. It's best to raise your hands slightly as you make dua, as is the practice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when asking Allah for something. Ensure you are in a state of purity if possible.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication directly asks Allah to settle one's debts and, more importantly, to grant a state of self-sufficiency through His grace, thus preventing the need to approach creation for help. It shifts our reliance from people to the One who truly controls all provisions.

Narrated by Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): A slave of Allah came to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed I am overwhelmed by my past deeds and my debts.' He said, 'Shall I not teach you some words that, if you say them, Allah will remove your past deeds and your debts?' He said, 'Yes, teach me.' He said, 'Say: O Allah, indeed I seek refuge in You from all sins and debts.' And he said, 'Say: O Allah, pay off my debt and enrich me with Your bounty, making me independent of anyone besides You.' (This specific phrasing is found in Sunan Abu Dawood and is considered Hasan by many scholars, similar to the narration in Sunan an-Nasa'i).
