The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever says 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa' (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created) - nothing will harm him until he gets up from his resting place.' (Sahih Muslim 2708). This hadith indicates the comprehensive protection offered by this dua against all forms of harm, including physical ailments and diseases. It was also narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge for Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) with these words: 'I seek refuge for you both in the perfect words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous thing and from every evil eye.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 3371).
