When to Read
This is a powerful supplication made by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). We can recite this anytime, but it's especially poignant to say when thinking about the future of our children and making heartfelt prayers for their well-being in this life and the Hereafter. Make it a regular part of your daily dhikr or sujood.
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and conviction, visualizing your children growing into righteous individuals who are beloved by Allah. Make this dua while in prostration (sujood) or during the times when dua is most readily accepted, such as between the adhan and iqamah, after obligatory prayers, or on Friday.
Virtues & Benefits
This ayah encapsulates a profound desire for righteous offspring. By making this dua, we are asking Allah not only to bless us with children but to make them righteous individuals who will be a source of joy in this world and the next. Righteous children are a continuous source of reward for their parents, even after they have passed away, as they can continue to make dua for them and uphold their legacy of good deeds. This supplication is a direct way to invoke Allah's mercy and guidance upon our children's path towards pleasing Him.
