Virtues & Benefits
This supplication is a powerful request to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) for assistance in cultivating three crucial aspects of faith: remembrance (dhikr), thankfulness (shukr), and excellent worship (husn 'ibadah). By asking Allah to aid us in these, we acknowledge our dependence on Him and His ability to grant us the strength and inclination to be grateful for His countless blessings. Developing shukr is not merely an outward expression; it's an inward state that brings contentment and an increased awareness of Allah's favors, which in turn enriches one's worship. For children, instilling this early on sets a foundation for a life filled with appreciation and a stronger connection to their Creator.

Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say after every obligatory prayer: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tata wa la mu'tiya lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd.' (There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You have given, and none can give what You have withheld, and the might of the mighty profits nothing against You). And it was also narrated that he said: 'Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika.' (O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best way.)
