Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what have I encountered from the scorpion that stung me last night?' He said: 'If you said, when evening came: A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created), then no harm would have come to you.' He said: 'So I said it to the companions, and they recited it that night and no harm came to them.'
