اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِي خَلْقِكَ فِتْنَةً فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ، وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ، وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to try Your creation, take me to Yourself without subjecting me to trials. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'lal khayrat, wa tarkal munkarat, wa hubbal masakin, wa an taghfira li wa tarhamani, wa idha aradta fi khalqika fitnatan fa tawaffani ghaira maftun. Wa as'aluka hubbak, wa hubba man yuhibbuk, wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ visited me while I was saying these words: 'O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to try Your creation, take me to Yourself without subjecting me to trials. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.' A man asked him: 'O Allah's Messenger, should we learn these words?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Yes, you should learn them and supplicate with them.' Then he said to me: 'Indeed, these words are from your treasure.' (Meaning: they are a great good that you have stored up).
