Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'He who says: 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min ghadabihi wa 'iqabihi, wa sharri 'ibadihi, wa min hamazatis-shayateeni wa an yahdhurun' (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of the devils and from their presence), then nothing will harm him.' This was said to be said by Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire. And it was said to be said by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he heard the sound of a group of polytheists shouting. (Sunan Abi Dawud 3892)
