Virtues & Benefits
This supplication is a powerful shield against the whispers and provocations of Satan, who often fuels anger and leads people to commit wrongs. By seeking refuge in Allah, we enlist His divine protection to control our impulses and prevent ourselves from acting out in ways that displease Him. Controlling anger is a significant spiritual achievement, as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'The strong man is not the one who is good at wrestling, but the strong man is the one who controls himself when he is angry.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6114). This dua helps us achieve that self-control.
