اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This dua is particularly relevant after Ramadan, but can be recited at any time, especially in the morning after Fajr prayer, to set the intention for a day of good deeds. It's a powerful way to ask Allah to help you continue the positive momentum gained during the blessed month.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and focus. Raise your hands slightly, as was the practice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when making dua. Truly believe that Allah is capable of granting your request and that He loves to be asked.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates the essence of striving for continuous good. Beneficial knowledge allows us to worship Allah correctly, goodly provision helps us sustain ourselves and be generous, and acceptable deeds are those performed sincerely for Allah's pleasure and in accordance with His guidance. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would recite this dua upon waking, seeking Allah's help to make his day fruitful in these three aspects. Maintaining this habit helps translate the spiritual discipline of Ramadan into a lifelong commitment.

The Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), reported that whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) started the day, he would say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds).
