Virtues & Benefits

This dua offers comprehensive protection. Source & Authentication

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I was stung by a scorpion last night.' He said: 'Had you recited the words of refuge I taught you, it would not have harmed you.' They asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, what are the words of refuge?' He said: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.' (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.) It was narrated that he who recites these words in the evening and dies that night, Paradise becomes incumbent upon him. And he who recites them in the morning and dies that day, Paradise becomes incumbent upon him. — Sahih Muslim 2708
