اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your bounty so I am in no need of anyone other than You.

Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwaka

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Mukatab (a slave who has entered into a contract of manumission) came to him and said: 'I am unable to pay my contract, so help me.' He said: 'Shall I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught you, and if you had the equivalent of a mountain of debt, Allah would pay it for you? Say: Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwaka.' *Translation of Hadith Text:* Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'A Mukatab came to me and complained of the cost of his manumission. So I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ. He said: 'Shall I not teach you some words to say, and if you had the equivalent of a mountain of debt, Allah would pay it off for you?' He said: 'Say: Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwaka.' (O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your bounty so I am in no need of anyone other than You.)
