رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.

When to Read
This is a beautiful, foundational dua that we can make for our parents at any time. It's particularly poignant after salaah, during sujood (prostration) when we are closest to Allah, or anytime we feel a deep sense of gratitude or remembrance for them. You can also make it a daily habit, perhaps right after Fajr or Isha. It’s a constant stream of mercy and well-wishes flowing towards them from you.
How to Read
Recite this verse with sincere intention and focus. Imagine your parents before you, and feel the deep love and respect Allah has instilled in our hearts for them. Pour your heart out to Allah, asking Him to grant them health, ease, and the best in this life and the next. Make sure you are in a state of purity if possible, facing the Qiblah, and with humble supplication.
