O Allah, grant my spouse wisdom and understanding, guide them to the path of beneficial knowledge, and make them among Your righteous servants who act upon their knowledge.
Allahumma 'allim zawji/zawjati al-hikmata wal-fiqha, wahdihi/ha li-tareeqil-'ilmin-naafi'i, waj'alhu/ha min 'ibadik-as-salihina alladhina ya'maluna bi-'ilmihim.
When to Read
This dua can be recited at any time, but it is particularly fitting to make it during the times when supplications are more likely to be answered, such as after prayers, during the last third of the night, or on Fridays. Recite it with sincere intention when you see your spouse embarking on or continuing their journey of seeking knowledge, or when you wish for them to gain more beneficial understanding.

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning of the words and truly wish for your spouse to attain beneficial knowledge and act upon it. You can raise your hands in supplication as you do this, facing the Qiblah if possible. Make sure your own intention is pure โ seeking Allah's pleasure for your spouse's betterment and for the sake of gaining knowledge that brings them closer to Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
Seeking knowledge is a highly esteemed act in Islam, considered a form of worship. The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ said: 'Whoever treads a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Paradise.' (Sahih Muslim 2699). By making dua for your spouse to gain knowledge for the sake of Allah, you are supporting their spiritual growth and potentially earning reward yourself for encouraging good.
