O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik.
When to Read
This dua is particularly relevant during times of marital strain, arguments, or when one spouse feels a growing distance or misunderstanding. It's beneficial to recite it regularly, especially after Fajr prayer, as the morning is a time when Shaitan is often most active in sowing discord. You can also recite it before sleeping, during arguments, or whenever you sense negativity creeping into your marriage.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and full concentration, picturing your marriage being protected by Allah. It's best to raise your hands as you make dua. You can also blow gently onto your spouse while reciting it, or onto your hands and then wipe them over your spouse's head and chest. Ensure you are in a state of Wudu if possible. Make it a habit, making it a regular part of your supplications.
Virtues & Benefits
Shaitan's primary goal is to sow discord between spouses, as he sees a happy marriage as a direct challenge to his mission. This dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is a powerful shield against his whispers and attempts to create doubt, suspicion, and hatred in the heart of your spouse. By seeking refuge in Allah, you are entrusting your marriage to His divine protection, asking Him to preserve the love, respect, and harmony between you.

Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to invoke Allah frequently, saying: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik.' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your displeasure).
