Narrated Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him): Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to bed, he would say: 'Bismika amutu wa ahya' (With Your name I die and I live). And when he woke up, he would say: 'Al-hamdu lillahi alladhi ahya-na ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihi an-nushur' (All the praises are for Allah Who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return).
