O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forehead is in Your hand. Your command over me is effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that You have, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.
Allahumma inni 'abdak, ibn 'abdik, ibn amatika, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabia'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.
