Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Yakrib that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘What the Muslims have of their own accord is knowledge. And Allah has given them the knowledge of the Torah and the Injil. And Allah has given them the knowledge of the Quran. And Allah has given them the knowledge of Al-Furqan. And Allah has given them the knowledge of Al-Qur'an. And Allah has given them the knowledge of Al-Furqan. So O people, you must cling to the Quran, for indeed it is the light of the earth and the remembrance of the heavens. And it is a banner that is raised, and a light that is shining, and a cure that is beneficial, and an honor for the one who possesses it, and a means of salvation for the one who follows it. It is not crooked that it should be set right, nor is its teaching worn out. So whoever knows it and judges by it, Allah will reward him a hundred thousand levels. And whoever does not judge by it, and does not know its limits, then he has wronged the most wrong of the wrongdoers.’ Then he said: 'O Allah, open upon us the openings of the knowledgeable.'
