Narrated Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): A slave who had a contract of manumission came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "I am unable to pay my installments, so help me." He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: "Shall I not teach you words that you may say, even if you had the wealth equal to a mountain, you would pay it off? Allah will suffice you with what He has made lawful instead of what He has made unlawful, and with His grace, He will make you rich. And Allah will not make anyone who is spending anything, remain." So the slave said: 'O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need anyone other than You.'
