O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the subjugation of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijali.

Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua, taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seeks protection from a range of debilitating states, including the mental anguish (distress and sorrow) and practical difficulties (helplessness and laziness) that often accompany financial hardship. Crucially, it asks for refuge from the heavy burden of debt and the humiliation that can come from being unable to meet one's obligations, or from being overpowered by others due to financial weakness. By reciting this, we are not just asking for money, but for resilience, contentment, and divine assistance to navigate our worldly affairs with dignity and faith.
